MoS2 solution has been prepared from high purity synthetic MoS₂ single crystals. The end product is optically active and environmentally stable. The PL spectrum displays peak at 1.89 eV and 2.05 eV corresponding to the band edge and spin-orbit emission. The Raman spectrum displays 19cm-1 difference between in plane and out of plane (E2g and A1g) modes. The FWHM of the Raman peaks are only 0.5cm-1 larger than the exfoliated MoS2 monolayers.
Characterization
Raman spectroscopy: Raman spectroscopy data is taken over a large area. Displays peak at 386cm-1 (E2g- in plane-) and 405cm-1 (A1g out-of-plane) and the FWHM (full-width-at-half-maximum) is less than 5-6cm-1. Photoluminescence (PL): PL peak at 1.89 and 2.05 eV. Please note that the solution might contain monolayer and few-layer flakes.
